SLB is seeking a Data & Infrastructure Engineer in Mexico City to provide critical L1/L2 support for wellsite infrastructure and digital drilling applications. You will deploy and manage EDGE devices, configure VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and IP addressing, and troubleshoot OT networks in a 24/7 environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–10 years in networking/infrastructure, CCNA certification, and strong documentation and communication skills to collaborate with global teams.

Formación

• Education: 4 yrs IT related degree.
• CCNA certification required.
• Fluent or conversational English.
• 3–10 years in networking, infrastructure support, or IT operations.
• Experience providing L1/L2 technical support.

Responsabilidades

• Provide L1/L2 support for wellsite infrastructure and digital drilling apps.
• Deploy, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot EDGE devices and systems.
• Configure network connectivity: VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, IP addressing.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data interfaces (WITSML, OPC-UA, Modbus TCP).
• Manage incidents and requests via ServiceNow; document solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, product, and field ops teams.
• Support rig onboarding and infrastructure projects; maintain procedures and docs.

Data & Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Mexico City, Mexico

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 support for wellsite infrastructure and digital drilling applications.
• Support deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of EDGE devices and associated systems.
• Configure and maintain network connectivity, including VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and IP addressing.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data interfaces such as WITSML, OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, and related protocols.
• Manage incidents, service requests, escalations, and technical documentation through ServiceNow.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, product, and field operations teams to ensure service continuity.
• Participate in rig onboarding, deployment readiness activities, and infrastructure support projects.
• Maintain operational procedures, knowledge articles, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Education: 4 yrs IT related degree
• English Level: Fluent / conversational level.
• Experience: 3 to 10 yrs in networking, infrastructure support, systems administration, or technical operations environments.
• Experience providing L1/L2 technical support.
• Experience network deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to industrial networks, operational technology (OT), or real-time operational environments is preferred.
• Experience working in a 24/7 support environment is desirable.
• CCNA certification is required.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, Routing, VLANs, TCP/IP, DHCP, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with firewalls, NAT, VPNs, and network security concepts.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as WITSML, OPC-UA, Modbus TCP, or Serial Communications.
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi or KVM is desirable.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.

Additional Information

• Rotational schedule: 2 weeks on / 1 week off.
