Sterlington is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen and modernize our cloud and infrastructure across a growing, remote-first law firm. You will ensure systems are reliable, well-documented, and built for scale, bringing hands-on automation and emerging-tech approaches.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in infra/cloud roles, deep Azure experience, AD/Entra ID, Intune, and virtualization skills. You’ll collaborate with security, optimize costs, and contribute to IaC efforts using Bicep

Formación

• 7+ years hands-on experience in infrastructure/cloud engineering.
• Solid, production-level experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Active Directory (user management, GPOs) and Entra ID.
• Scripting/automation using PowerShell and/or Python.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization environments (Nutanix, VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V) and VDI (VMware Horizon, Azure AVD, Citrix).
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune (MDM), app deployment, patching, endpoint policies.
• Experience with IT ticketing systems (Freshservice, ServiceNow, or similar).
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Comfortable working asynchronously in a distributed, remote-first environment.

Responsabilidades

• Support and contribute to infrastructure and cloud projects across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Assist with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) projects, including setup, troubleshooting, and ongoing operations.
• Improve device management processes using Microsoft Intune (MDM) — app deployment, patching, and endpoint policies.
• Provide visibility into infrastructure costs and identify optimization opportunities.
• Produce clear, up-to-date documentation for infrastructure systems and processes.
• Deliver training to the IT support team to reduce escalations to Infrastructure.
• Propose and implement improved ways of working within the technology team.
• Explore and implement AI-driven tools and automation within infrastructure operations.
• Support deployment, hosting, and monitoring of AI-powered applications on our infrastructure.
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Bicep or Terraform.
• Collaborate with Security on design and implementation of security policies and controls.

The Opportunity

You will help ensure our systems are reliable, well-documented, and built for scale, bringing a proactive, hands‑on approach to infrastructure, automation, and emerging technologies.

What You'll Do

• Support and contribute to infrastructure and cloud projects across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, working alongside the technology team.
• Assist with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) projects, including setup, troubleshooting, and ongoing operations.
• Improve and mature device management processes using Microsoft Intune (MDM) — app deployment, patching, and endpoint policies.
• Provide visibility into infrastructure costs and help identify optimization opportunities.
• Produce clear, up-to-date documentation for infrastructure systems and processes.
• Deliver training to the IT support team to reduce unnecessary escalations to Infrastructure.
• Propose and help implement improved ways of working within the technology team.
• Explore and implement AI-driven tools and automation within infrastructure operations.
• Support the deployment, hosting, and monitoring of AI-powered applications on our infrastructure.
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives, using tools such as Bicep or Terraform.
• Collaborate with the Security team on the design and implementation of security policies and controls.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in infrastructure/cloud engineering roles.
• Solid, production‑level experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Active Directory (user management, GPOs) and Entra ID (hybrid identity, Entra Connect).
• Proficiency in scripting/automation using PowerShell and/or Python.
• Solid hands‑on experience managing and maintaining virtualization environments (Nutanix, VMWare, Citrix, Hyper‑V) with strong focus in Virtual Desktop infrastructure (VMWare Horizon, Azure AVD, Citrix).
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune (MDM). App deployment, patch management, endpoint policies.
• Experience working with IT ticketing systems (e.g. Freshservice, ServiceNow, or similar).
• Strong communication skills, being able to clearly translate technicisms to stakeholders.
• Comfortable working async in a distributed, remote‑first environment.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with Nerdio.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or Terraform) and Azure DevOps (repos, pipelines)
• Familiarity with Azure Monitor and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
• Hands‑on experience using AI tools in a technical context.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. AZ-104, AZ-140, or similar).
