Johnson Matthey in Querétaro seeks an Internal Control and Compliance Manager to lead internal processes and ensure regulatory compliance. You will work with the finance team as the owner of the balance sheet, maintaining accuracy and valuation across operations.

The role requires auditing and tax expertise; you will supervise a small team and collaborate with Controllership to maintain integrity while supporting a hybrid work arrangement.

Formación

• Professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in auditing, internal control and compliance; solid tax law background.
• 3–4+ years PQE as a finance professional capable of leading a small team.

Role

As a Internal Control and Compliance Manager, you will help drive our goals by: Supervise and improve the organization’s internal processes to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and standards, as well as providing expertise in accounting techniques. Works closely with the finance team as the owner of the balance sheet to ensure the existence, integrity, accuracy, and valuation of the company’s operations. Collaborates with other departments and the sector Controllership team to ensure operational efficiency and integrity, maintaining an adequate control environment. Owns all statutory requirements of the local entity, both legal and financial.

Key skills

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. having been qualified a number of years), or significant related experience.
• Experience in auditing, internal control, and compliance, with a solid background in tax laws.
• An experienced finance professional (e.g. 3-4+ years PQE) who undertakes complex accounting tasks independently, and will typically manage a small team.
