Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems, including technical improvement of existing products and components. The role is accountable for the quality of its own work, follows direct operations supervision, prescribed work instructions, and system checks, and operates within a well‑defined operations framework to achieve end results.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Create CAD models and drawings using company sponsored CAD systems.
• Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements.
• Understand Design Change documentation and requirements and execute changes.
• Define dimensional constraints and geometric tolerances required for proper clearances and fits while maximizing manufacturing capabilities.
• Learn to perform basic stack‑ups.
• Understand input from the different engineering disciplines.
• Concurrently work on multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality, and ensuring schedule requirements are met.
• Identify process and product improvements.
• Self‑check of work.

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in a related field (Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, etc.)
• Solid contribution in a similar role or previous position
• Must be able to maintain a normal day‑to‑day fluid conversation in English on any topic with few mistakes that do not affect clear understanding.
• Sound understanding of design principles relevant to function (GD&T, CAD).
• Presentation Skills: Ability to communicate across functions.
