Job summary

GE Vernova in Querétaro is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer for ownership of instrumented systems in gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and BOP fluids. This role offers mentorship and a clear development path from entry-level to technical leader.

You will develop drawings, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and specifications using GTCC PLM, EPLAN, and AVEVA, collaborate with mechanical, controls, and electrical teams, and support global New Unit projects through design to delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience (internship, co-op, or academic project experience counts)
• Familiarity with instrumentation principles, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, or control systems.

Responsibilities

• Support New Unit project execution globally, from design through customer delivery
• Work across GE Vernova's full product portfolio - Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generator, and Balance of Plant
• Develop and review instrumentation drawings, bills of material, and technical specifications in GTCC PLM
• Develop and review wiring diagrams in EPLAN
• Manage project documentation (schematics, instrument lists, signal lists) in AVEVA
• Perform analysis and design studies for instrumented fluid systems
• Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and electrical engineering teams
• Support customer and field technical issue resolution
• Participate in design reviews and milestone discussions across the product lifecycle
