Medtronic seeks a Technical Specialist Career Stream to advance existing technology or introduce new therapy-related solutions. This role focuses on transforming R&D concepts into scalable manufacturing processes and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

An individual contributor who mentors colleagues, drives process improvements, and adheres to regulatory and safety policies will thrive in this position.

Formación

  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 3 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 0 years relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of electropneumatic manufacturing equipment, line balancing, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Agile English 65% knowledge and equipment installation.
  • Experience in the Medical Industry Project development and validating new equipment and/or processes (IQ, OQ, PQ, TMV).

Responsabilidades

  • Provide technical expertise for daily manufacturing operations and lead for metrics (Production, Quality, Scrap and Cycle time).
  • Utilize failure analysis tools (A3, 5M) to conduct robust investigations.
  • Develop CAPA actions, manage customer complaints and non-conformance.
  • Guide engineering on design concepts to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensure processes comply with regulations.

Descripción del empleo

A Day in the Life Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
  • Training on Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Responsible for providing technical expertise, preventive and corrective solutions and leadership for daily manufacturing operations and ensuring established metrics (Production, Quality, Scrap and Cycle time) are met.
  • Utilizes failure analysis tools (i.e., A3, 5M Analysis) to conduct robust investigations.
  • Manage and develop audit observations, CAPA actions, customer complaints and non-conformance.
  • Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
  • Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
  • Designs sequence of operations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
  • Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
  • Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
  • Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM

An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.

Leadership and Talent Management: May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and / or employee in Support Career Stream.

Required Knowledge and Experience

Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 3 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with a minimum of 0 years relevant experience.

Minimum requirements: Knowledge of electropneumatic manufacturing equipment Line balancing, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Agile English 65% Knowledge equipment installation. Knowledge on Molding processes (Injection Molding, Extrusion, Dipping and/or Blow molding). Experience in the Medical Industry Project development. Experience validating new equipment and/or processes. (IQ, OQ, PQ, Software and TMV)
