Reporting to the NPI Manager, you as a Sr. New Product Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time and according to the 5-phase procedure. You will guarantee that manufactured products meet customer specifications through total process control, with a focus on problem prevention using documentation such as flowcharts, PFMEAs, and process sheets. You will also work with suppliers on equipment quotations, ensuring proper operation of equipment and tooling.

You will lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of manufacturing processes for new products, coordinate activities with Product Engineering when design changes are required and contribute to quality and efficiency problem-solving. You will also be responsible for overseeing trials and samples during the different project phases, as well as documenting key metrics (yield, OEE, etc.).

About the Job:
  • Develop, quote, and implement manufacturing processes for new products (process design, equipment design, and resource optimization).
  • Participate in cross-functional teams for NPI projects.
  • Coordinate with Product Engineering on design changes that improve quality and functionality.
  • Analyze and resolve product quality and production efficiency issues related to machinery, raw materials, tooling, and/or processes.
  • Monitor performance of new products through metrics such as yield and OEE, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Lead, coordinate, and execute product samples throughout project phases.
  • Collaborate with Safety and Hygiene to define proper PPE in workstations and areas.
  • Location: Matamoros, Tamaulipas, On-site / Presential.
About You:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in new product introduction projects.
  • Advanced English (mandatory).
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Core Tools (AMEF, PFMEA, MSA, APQP).
  • Experience with continuous improvement tools and cost-saving projects.
  • Knowledge of advanced problem-solving tools and GD&T interpretation.
  • Experience in programming/PLC.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
  • Oriented to action and decision-making in complex environments.
