The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field, with a preference for a Master's. Strong skills in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma are highly valued, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality manufacturing processes.

Senior Process Engineer

Position located in Chicago, Illinois, USA at Littelfuse.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and implement automation projects in manufacturing processes, including scope definition, technical justification, coordination with suppliers/integrators, validation, startup, and results monitoring.
• Lead root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams to address customer complaints and resolve chronic and recurring problems.
• Develop, update, and maintain technical process documentation: PFMEA, Control Plans, Flowcharts, work instructions, parameters, and operating standards.
• Analyze OEE, cycle times, scrap, capacity, efficiency, and productivity to identify improvement opportunities and establish data‑driven action plans.
• Design, validate, and implement processes for new products, engineering changes, and line transfers, ensuring safety, quality, capacity, and compliance with customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business Administration preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Effective communication, complexity management, time management, and quality decision‑making skills.
• Proficiency in PFMEA and Control Plan.
• Conversational English proficiency.
