Robert Bosch Group in Celaya, Mexico, seeks a Senior SMT Process Engineer to implement, maintain and improve solder paste and reflow processes across shifts. You will ensure equipment availability and drive KPI performance in the value stream.

The role involves APQP planning, PFMEA participation, tooling design, and close collaboration with manufacturing, development and maintenance teams to optimize cycle times and hardware performance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience implementing and maintaining SMT processes (Solder Paste and Reflow).
• Familiarity with APQP planning and PFMEA.
• Ability to work in shifts and cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Implement, maintain and improve SMT manufacturing processes (Solder Paste Process, Reflow Process) to ensure equipment availability across shifts.
• Develop processes and instructions, train technicians, and maintenance procedures (preventive, predictive, corrective).
• Support APQP planning: EWAK runs, Pre-PVs, PVs, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with MFE and development on process definition, product handling, cycle time, and hardware.
• Define and display process parameters per development specs and standards (DMDs, VVTs, VA, DI).
• Define spare parts, TPM activities, scheduling and training.
• Use Bosch standards to modify processes via PCRs and ECRs.
• Participate in PFMEA and Control Plan for new and current processes.
• Define and design tooling: Stencils, Workholders, Squegges.
• Define and Design Profiles Boards.

Job Description

Responsible to implement, maintain and improve the SMT manufacturing process ( Solder Paste Process , Reflow Process ) ensure technical availability of equipment in all shifts. Fulfil Value Stream KPI’s: IDC, FOR, % FPY , Nu Rel ,Technical Down time , CT .
New product introduction, equipment and process definition, acquisition, validation and installation on production environment. ( MEA / EWAK ).
Develop process and instructions for processes,write material to train technicians, and processes for maintenance: Preventive, predictive and corrective.

Qualifications

• Get involved on the process to: Define, Acquire, Transfer, Accept, Validate, Release ,and install production process and equipment according to Bosch standards.
• Fulfill APQP planning: EWAK runs, Pre-PV’s PV, and SOP
• Participate actively with MFE (manufacturing planning) on projects and new releases
• Participate with Lead Plant / Development, on manufacturing process definition, product handling, cycle time, hardware
• Define and display process parameters, from development spec. and standards form DMD’s, VVT’s. VA, DI.
• Define Equipment spare parts Define and apply TPM (total productive maintenance) activities, schedule, and training.
• Use Bosch Standards to modify process and changes on it: PCR’s, ECR.
• Participate on PFMEA and Control Plan for assigned process, new and current.
• Define and Design Tooling Process (Stencils, Workholders, Squegges) .
• Define and Design Profiles Boards
• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
