Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Reliability Engineer for its automotive components team in Torreón, Coahuila. The role focuses on improving durability, longevity, and dependable performance of automotive parts through failure analysis, reliability testing, and data-driven improvements.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 4+ years in reliability, and proficiency with Minitab and ReliaSoft. Spanish fluency is expected with English helpful for collaboration, and a strong track

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in reliability engineering, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Proficient with reliability analysis tools such as Minitab and ReliaSoft.
• Experience in FMEA, FTA, HALT/HASS testing.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute reliability test plans and protocols for automotive components.
• Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations for returned products or field failures.
• Implement reliability engineering tools and methodologies such as FMEA and FTA.
• Analyze test data and field data to predict product reliability and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to incorporate reliability considerations into product development and production processes.
• Develop and maintain reliability databases and reporting systems.
• Define reliability targets and ensure products meet these objectives.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in reliability engineering.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on reliability-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with automotive reliability standards.
