Placements24 is seeking an Ingeniero Mecánico de Diseño in Saltillo, Coahuila, to design and develop mechanical systems for custom vehicles. You will lead CAD modeling, simulations, and testing across chassis, suspension, and powertrain integration, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and performance.

The role requires 6+ years in automotive design and expertise with CATIA/SolidWorks and simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in mechanical or automotive engineering.
• 6+ years in automotive design focusing on chassis, suspension, or vehicle systems integration.
• Proficiency in CATIA/SolidWorks and simulation tools ANSYS/Adams.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop mechanical systems for special-purpose vehicles, including chassis, suspension, steering, and powertrain integration.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and schematics for all vehicle components and systems.
• Perform structural analysis (FEA), kinematic analysis, and vehicle dynamics simulations to optimize design performance and safety.
• Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes for vehicle construction.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing teams to ensure integrated system functionality.
• Oversee prototype development, build, and testing, providing technical guidance and problem resolution.
• Conduct road testing and validation of vehicle systems to ensure performance and reliability standards are met.
• Stay updated on emerging automotive technologies, materials, and design trends.
• Document design decisions, test results, and technical specifications.
