Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 4+ years of experience in design of medium voltage distribution systems.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, SKM PowerTools or similar.
• Solid understanding of power systems analysis, protection principles, and NOM standards.
• Experience with substation design and overhead/underground distribution.

Responsibilities

• Design MV distribution schematics and plans (up to 35 kV).
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, and protection studies.
• Select equipment: transformers, switchgear, cables, protection devices.
• Ensure compliance with NOM and international standards; prepare specs and BOMs.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams during execution.
• Support commissioning and startup of electrical systems.
• Review designs from juniors or external consultants.
• Resolve design issues arising during construction or operation.
