TotalEnergies in Ensenada seeks a CAD/CAE engineer with strong SolidWorks skills and CAE experience to support product development. You will engage with cross‑functional teams and apply elastomer sealing concepts, GD&T, and material knowledge in automotive contexts.

Required are a technical degree and hands‑on CAD/CAE background, with proficiency in relevant FEA tools. Fluency in English is expected; Spanish is a plus for local collaboration.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, CAD Technology, or equivalent. Experience in CAD design, CAE simulation and product development preferred. Experience with elastomer products, sealing systems or automotive applications strongly desired.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Expert proficiency in SolidWorks; surfacing, configurations, and drafting standards; CATIA experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of elastomer materials (e.g., EPDM, NBR, FKM, Silicone) and rubber molding processes (compression, transfer, injection) is preferred.
• Understanding of sealing system design constraints (compression set, squeeze, interference, groove design, surface finish).
• Ability to apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 or ISO 1101 on drawings, with basic tolerance analysis.
• Familiarity with dimensional tolerance standards for rubber parts, e.g., ISO 3302‑1:2014 (moulded/extruded/calendared products) when applicable.
• Familiarity with APQP/PPAP elements and document control in an IATF 16949 environment (DFMEA linkage, dimensional results, MSA inputs).
• Experience with Abaqus, Ansys, HyperWorks, OptiStruct, Nastran or equivalent simulation tools. Understanding of hyperelastic materials, contact mechanics, nonlinear analysis, fatigue, durability and sealing system behavior.
