Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative Electrical Design Engineer to join their R&D team in Morelia, Michoacán, MX. You will conceptualize, design, simulate, and test analog and digital circuits for new product development, collaborating with firmware and mechanical teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of circuit design experience, proficiency in EDA tools, and hands-on PCB layout and prototype testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of analog and digital circuit design experience.
• Proficiency in EDA tools for schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium Designer, OrCAD, Cadence Allegro).
• Strong understanding of semiconductor devices, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and power management ICs.
• Experience with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
• Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware development is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and develop analog and digital circuits for various applications.
• Create schematic diagrams and perform PCB layout using EDA tools.
• Select components based on performance, cost, and availability.
• Build and test circuit prototypes, validating against design specs.
• Troubleshoot and debug circuits, identifying root causes.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers and mechanical designers for integration.
• Conduct design reviews and document specifications and test results.
• Stay updated on advancements in components and design techniques.
• Assist in transitioning designs from R&D to production.
