Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Process Quality Engineer for our automotive supplier client in Acapulco, Guerrero. This on-site role focuses on maintaining high quality across production, with SPC tracking, RCA, and CAPA to meet stringent automotive standards.

You will collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to ensure ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance, train operators, and prepare quality reports for management review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial) required.
• 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably automotive.
• Knowledge of QMS (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency with SPC tools and techniques.
• Experience with RCA methodologies (8D, 5 Whys).
• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans for manufacturing processes.
• Monitor production lines, perform inspections, and analyze data to identify improvements.
• Use SPC to track process variation and ensure consistency.
• Investigate quality issues, perform RCA, and implement CAPA.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality concerns.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Prepare quality reports and metrics for management review.
• Participate in internal and external audits of quality systems.
• Train production personnel on quality procedures and standards.
