Morgan Advanced Materials busca un especialista de infraestructura para LATAM en México. El rol ejecuta soluciones de infraestructura, apoya entornos de nube y hardware, y garantiza continuidad y rendimiento para las operaciones de la región.

Se requiere 5–7 años de experiencia en IT y 3–5 en OT, plus dominio de ITIL 4, ISO 27001 y Python. Se valoran esfuerzos en ciberseguridad y transformación digital. El puesto es a tiempo completo y en sitio en San Juan del Río.

Formación

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing industry and tech trends in industrial environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
  • 5–7 years hands-on IT infrastructure experience.
  • 3–5 years OT support experience.
  • Experience with Python automation and scripting.

Responsabilidades

  • Plan, implement, and validate changes to LATAM infrastructure components.
  • Document information needs and create technical docs and diagrams.
  • Ensure design specs are implemented and provide operational support for AVD environments.
  • Coordinate with procurement, vendors, and site managers for equipment.
  • Support system hardening, patching, and change requests.
  • Provide weekly updates to LATAM plants and track milestones.
  • Contribute to modernization and security compliance initiatives.

As part of this commitment, the OneIT team is implementing a comprehensive global roadmap to modernize our IT estate, enhance performance, and maximize business value.


The Infrastructure Specialist – LATAM plays a key role in this transformation. This position is responsible for the execution and delivery of infrastructure solutions and project outcomes defined by Solution Architects. The role provides day‑to‑day operational support for infrastructure environments and AI‑driven initiatives across sites in the Americas region. The specialist ensures resilient, secure, and high‑performing platforms that enable business continuity and modernization.


Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Planning & Execution


  • Plan, implement, and validate changes to infrastructure components across LATAM sites.

  • Identify, analyze, map, and document information needs for current and future systems and processes.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including Visio diagrams, architecture references, and executive‑level presentations.

  • Ensure project requirements and solution‑design specifications are fully and accurately implemented.

  • Document, manage permissions, and provide operational support for AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) environments.


Support, Troubleshooting & Operations


  • Anticipate potential issues and take proactive steps to mitigate risks and disruptions.

  • Work closely with business users to ensure delivered solutions meet functional requirements and drive measurable business value.

  • Coordinate with procurement teams, vendors, and site managers for equipment acquisition, installations, and service activities.

  • Participate in system hardening, patching initiatives, and formal Change Requests (CRs).

  • Provide weekly follow‑up to LATAM plants and ensure timely execution of project milestones and status updates.


Continuous Improvement & Modernization


  • Evaluate and enhance operational processes to ensure they are efficient, reliable, and cost‑effective.

  • Support ongoing infrastructure modernization initiatives aligned with global IT strategy.


Cybersecurity & Compliance


  • Ensure strict adherence to global IT security policies, data protection regulations, and relevant industry standards.

  • Partner with regional and global security teams to implement cybersecurity initiatives and monitor compliance.


Requirements


  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Strong knowledge of the manufacturing industry and familiarity with technology trends impacting industrial environments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English and Spanish.

  • 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud technologies, and Azure services.

  • 3–5 years of experience supporting Operational Technology (OT) environments.

  • Practical experience with Python automation, scripting, and integration.

  • Exposure to GPU‑based workloads, acceleration, or AI infrastructure is a strong advantage.

  • Solid understanding of IT service management (ITSM) concepts and frameworks; ITIL 4 certification or equivalent knowledge preferred.

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical root cause analysis (RCA) skills.

  • Experience contributing to digital transformation initiatives, including Industry 5.0, smart manufacturing, or IoT/IIoT solutions.

  • Demonstrated focus on quality assurance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

  • Strong awareness of IT compliance and cybersecurity standards such as ISO 27001 and CMMC.

  • Solid understanding of foundational networking concepts:

    • OSI & TCP/IP models, packet flow, and zero‑trust principles.

    • Network services: DNS, DHCP, NAT, NTP.

    • IPv4 addressing, subnetting, and routing fundamentals.



  • Knowledge of switching technologies:

    • VLANs, trunking, STP, and static vs. dynamic routing.



  • Ability to install and configure network and connectivity infrastructure, including:

    • Cisco switches, Meraki access points, fiber connections, and IDF/MDF network rooms.
