Jabil is seeking a journeyman level machinist to operate a broad range of shop equipment, including CNC machines and conventional tools. You will read engineering drawings and procedures to fabricate precison components, perform basic shop calculations for tooling feeds and speeds, and inspect parts with micrometers and calipers.

Some programs may be required. The role requires independence and capability to work with a Lead to complete jobs on schedule and with high accuracy in a manufacturing

Formación

• Operate a variety of machine tool equipment including drill press, lathe, milling machine, CNC and other hand and power machines.
• Read blueprints, sketches, production diagrams and drawings to fabricate machined components.
• Perform shop calculations using handbook formulas to layout patterns and set tooling feeds and speeds.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers.
• May program some machines.

Responsabilidades

• Operate a variety of machine tools and equipment to produce machined components from drawings.
• Measure and inspect parts to specification using precision metrology equipment.
• Collaborate with leads to ensure on-time completion of jobs and accuracy.
