MSCI in Monterrey is seeking an Index Research Intern to support the Global Index Research and Development Team. You will assist with data analysis, index reviews, and methodology research while leveraging AI tools to automate processes.

This role offers exposure to AI-augmented research, governance, and the investment management ecosystem, in a fast-paced, cross-cultural setting. Ideal candidates are advanced students in Finance, Economics, or Engineering with strong quantitative skills, Python

Formación

• Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written. A must.
• Proficient Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot).
• Basic experience with automation or scripting (e.g., Python).
• Foundational understanding of AI applications in data analysis (data cleaning, summarization, automation).
• Knowledge of Equity Analysis, Equity Investment Process, Institutional Investment Practices.
• 5th semester+ status in Finance, Economics, Engineering with GPA 90/100.
• Graduation not earlier than May 2027.
• Self-starter with good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, validate, and analyze data to support index reviews and research initiatives.
• Monitor global investment management trends and contribute insights to methodology research.
• Assist with documentation, reporting, and dashboard updates to improve team efficiency.
• Support index construction, policy research, and methodology testing under supervision.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders and coordinate with IT and other teams on workflows.
• Leverage AI tools and automation scripts to collect, clean, and analyze data.
