A rapidly growing company in modular construction located in Tijuana, Mexico is seeking an experienced Import/Export Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of import/export activities, ensuring compliance with Mexican regulations, and coordinating with various teams. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field, at least 7 years of experience in customs compliance, and advanced English and Spanish proficiency.

Formación

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in customs compliance, strongly emphasizing Mexican regulations.
  • Expert knowledge of T‑MEC/USMCA, IMMEX.
  • Experience managing interactions with customs brokers.

As an Import/Export Specialist at Domo Modular, you will be a key player in our maquiladora operations. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with advanced English proficiency to manage the full cycle of import/export activities. This includes coordinating with customs brokers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure compliance, accurate documentation, and the timely arrival of goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of import/export regulations and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance with Foreign Trade issues.
  • Knowledge of Annex 30 – SCCCYG (Supply Chain Security Criteria and Guidelines).
  • Knowledge of IVA-IEPS Certification (Value Added Tax - Special Tax on Production and Services).
  • Mastery of Customs Operations A1, IN, RT, F4, F5, A3, V1.
  • Advanced knowledge of Annex 24 unloading processes.
  • Mastery of BOM or Bill of Materials (at various levels, sub-assemblies).
  • General knowledge of VUCEM (Mexican Window for Foreign Trade), SAT (Tax Administration Service), SE (Ministry of Economy), SEMARNAT (Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources), PRIOR PERMITS, RULE 8TH, SNICE (National Foreign Trade Information Service), CFDI 4.0 (Digital Tax Receipt), etc.
  • Compliance with legal requirements (documents, reports, etc.).
  • Knowledge of CFDI 3.3 and 4.0 plus Carta Porte.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Law, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in customs compliance, strongly emphasizing Mexican regulations and manufacturing operations.
  • Expert knowledge of Mexican Customs Law, T‑MEC/USMCA, IMMEX.
  • Experience managing interactions with customs brokers.
  • Bilingual: Spanish and English (advanced proficiency required).
