Provide strategic leadership for all Import & Export activities, ensuring full compliance with customs and foreign trade regulations while supporting business growth, operational continuity, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
Reports To: Plant Manager
Direct Reports: 2-7 Employees
Level: Management
Define and execute Import & Export strategy.
Advise leadership on foreign trade matters.
Lead risk mitigation and business continuity initiatives.
Support launches, expansions, and supply chain transformations.
Own IMMEX, PROSEC, Annex 24, Annex 30, USMCA/T-MEC, OEA and CTPAT compliance.
Lead compliance reviews and trade risk assessments.
Approve customs classification, valuation, and origin determinations.
Ensure continuity of international material flow.
Manage brokers, carriers, and freight forwarders.
Resolve critical logistics and customs escalations.
Lead internal, external and government audits.
Represent the company before SAT, ANAM and authorities.
Ensure closure of audit findings.
Drive cost reduction and duty savings initiatives.
Lead supplier negotiations and KPI governance.
Build high-performing teams.
Conduct talent reviews and succession planning.
Develop training and engagement programs.
Bachelor’s degree in international business, Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
8-12 years of progressive Import & Export experience.
3-5 years leading teams.
Manufacturing and IMMEX experience.
Audit leadership experience.
