Descripción de la vacante

Sealed Air Ciudad Juárez seeks an Import/Export Coordinator to manage customs compliance and foreign trade operations. You will serve as the key point of contact for Mexican trade processes, ensuring adherence to regulations and coordinating with internal teams, brokers, and external advisors.

You will oversee import/export activities, maintain controls, identify risks, support audits, and drive continuous improvements to strengthen our foreign trade operations and risk management.

Formación

  • Strong knowledge of Mexican customs regulations and foreign trade operations.
  • Hands-on experience managing IMMEX program requirements.
  • Familiarity with Anexo 24 and Anexo 30 controls.
  • Experience with IVA/IEPS Certification, CTPAT, and OEA programs.
  • Experience with temporary imports, virtual imports/exports, pedimentos, and customs documentation.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, identify risks, and recommend solutions.
  • Proactive mindset with continuous improvement approach.
  • Ability to collaborate with customs brokers, legal advisors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and ability to work independently.
  • Advanced conversational English.

Responsabilidades

  • Ensure compliance with Mexican foreign trade regulations and programs, including IMMEX, IVA/IEPS Certification, OEA, and CTPAT requirements.
  • Maintain accurate customs documentation, records, and controls for audits and reviews.
  • Support business continuity by ensuring reliable import/export processes.
  • Identify potential compliance risks and develop action plans to mitigate impacts.
  • Provide guidance and escalation support for customs-related deviations and challenges.
  • Strengthen collaboration between Customs, Logistics, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Tax, and other stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, visibility, and control within foreign trade activities.

What will you do as Import/Export Coordinator at Sealed Air?

You will be responsible for managing and ensuring customs compliance activities supporting Sealed Air’s Ciudad Juárez operation. This role will serve as the key point of contact for foreign trade processes, ensuring compliance with Mexican customs regulations and trade programs while partnering with internal teams, customs brokers, and external advisors. You will oversee import and export activities, maintain compliance controls, identify potential risks, support audits and certifications, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen customs processes and operational effectiveness.

You will work closely with Logistics, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Tax, Legal, and external partners to ensure proper execution of foreign trade operations, including temporary imports, virtual operations, documentation control, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will analyze exceptions, provide solutions, and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce compliance risks.
