Job Summary

The Senior Consultant SAP PP/DS & IBP will advise clients on the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced planning solutions within complex manufacturing and supply chain environments. This role combines strong SAP expertise with deep process knowledge to support SAP S/4HANA transformation programs, harmonize planning processes, and design scalable, future‑ready planning solutions. The position also contributes to AI‑enabled planning innovation, helping clients improve decision‑making, planning accuracy, and operational responsiveness across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements focused on SAP PP/DS and IBP, from solution design through implementation and optimization.
• Analyze client business requirements and translate them into robust, scalable SAP planning solutions.
• Design and optimize end‑to‑end planning processes across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, production planning, detailed scheduling, sequencing, capacity planning, and constraint‑based planning.
• Take ownership of your solution area in implementation, rollout, and transformation projects, ensuring high‑quality delivery.
• Design integration between SAP planning processes and adjacent solutions such as SAP PP, MM, and EWM.
• Facilitate workshops with business and IT stakeholders to align requirements, process design, and solution architecture.
• Support testing, cutover, go‑live planning, and hypercare to ensure successful project delivery.
• Contribute to process harmonization and the continuous improvement of planning capabilities across the supply chain.
• Support presales activities through solution concepts, customer presentations, and workshops.
• Mentor colleagues through coaching, knowledge sharing, and contribution to internal capability development.
• Identify opportunities to apply automation, analytics, and AI‑enabled approaches to improve planning efficiency, decision‑making, and service levels.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to shape future supply chain planning offerings and support the growth of the practice.

Required Qualifications

• Several years of SAP consulting experience in supply chain planning, with a strong focus on SAP PP/DS and SAP IBP.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and planning processes, including production planning, detailed scheduling, sequencing, resource planning, and capacity planning.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP PP/DS and/or IBP in implementation, optimization, or transformation projects, ideally within SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Solid knowledge of integration with related SAP modules and solutions such as PP, MM, and EWM.
• Experience conducting workshops, gathering requirements, and translating business needs into effective system solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured and solution‑oriented consulting mindset.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to explain complex planning topics clearly to business and IT stakeholders.
• Experience working in client‑facing project environments and managing responsibilities across the project lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA‑based planning transformation programs.
• Exposure to advanced planning innovations, including predictive analytics, machine learning, or AI‑supported planning use cases.
• Experience with process harmonization across multiple plants, regions, or business units.
• Knowledge of supply chain planning best practices in discrete manufacturing, process manufacturing, or hybrid environments.
• Experience contributing to presales, proposal development, or solution storytelling.
• A collaborative mindset with an interest in coaching others and contributing to practice development.
• An appreciation for innovation, continuous improvement, and modern delivery approaches, including automation and AI‑enabled services.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• SAP certifications in PP/DS, IBP, or SAP S/4HANA planning solutions are an advantage.
• Additional certifications in supply chain planning, project management, or process improvement are a plus.
