Job summary

Bombardier Mexico seeks a seasoned Direct Buyer to join our Aerospace materials team. You will manage purchase orders, maintain supplier relations, and monitor daily logistics KPIs, ensuring cost efficiency and timely deliveries.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a Direct Buyer, advanced Excel, and fluent English. You will collaborate across functions, support inventory strategies, and participate in change-management initiatives within a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Management or International Trades or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Direct Buyer.
• Proficient in Excel at an intermediate–advanced level.
• Advanced English and fluent conversation ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills: analytical, teamwork and negotiation.
• General knowledge of Import/Export processes.
• SAP knowledge or similar ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Creates conforming Purchase Orders.
• Maintains professional relationships with suppliers.
• Analyzes and monitors daily logistics KPIs (LeanDNA/Eclipse where applicable).
• Builds communication and purchasing structures with suppliers (PO structure, strategy).
• Applies and maintains inventory level strategy per product family.
• Controls BOM costs in accordance with contracts and budgets.
• Supports change management implementation plans for product families.
• Manages delays in delivery dates and communicates impacts to suppliers.
• Prepares coverage charts and presents to leadership when required.
• Supports problem-solving and decision-making processes.
