Your Role: Own the Challenge

In this role, you will play a key role in enhancing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance within your area of responsibility. You will help foster a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE by applying your expertise, offering practical solutions, and ensuring effective risk management across the ABB value chain.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the HSE strategy implementation in Motion Business in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report HSE incidents to management and relevant stakeholders, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions.
• Facilitate and support incident investigations to identify opportunities for risk mitigation.
• Share lessons learned and best practices within your unit and across the organization.
• Promote behavioral change through the local implementation of global and business-specific HSE improvement programs.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in HSE management systems, including fieldwork as an HSE technician or specialist.
• Hands-on experience with management systems; knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 is a plus.
• Familiarity with risk assessment tools, continuous improvement frameworks, and incident investigation methods.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Mexican occupational health and safety regulations.
• Previous experience in the industrial and/or energy sector is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Strong interest in safety culture development, collaboration, and innovative problem-solving.
• Intermediate or higher level of English, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Valid driver’s license in the Republic of Mexico.
