Mondelēz International seeks a Health, Safety & Environment professional to drive safety programs in a manufacturing context. You will oversee regulatory compliance, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize risk and environmental impact.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, HR and external bodies, with a focus on zero incidents and life-safety principles.

Formación

  • Experience in Environmental Health and Safety programs (OSHA/EPA standards).
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting and ISO compliance.
  • Ability to communicate clearly at all levels.

Responsabilidades

  • Assist and lead the cultural transformation regarding HSE to help lead plant to achieve Zero accidents and Incidents
  • Coordinate and oversee implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes
  • Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non-conformances
  • Provide Health and Safety expertise for the plant for projects and change management
  • Follow up on non-conformances and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Develop guidance to identify and remove physical hazards

Job Description

HSE programs will be well implemented and meet the relevant standards and regulations in the Plant. That means you will ensure that facilities provided are well maintained, regulation/procedure are in place and implemented, hazards/aspects assessments are conducted, the accident both caused by unsafe acts and conditions are reduced and energy and waste are driven down.

How you will contribute
  • Assist and lead the cultural transformation regarding HSE to help lead plant to achieve Zero accidents and Incidents
  • Be responsible for coordinating and overseeing implementation of all Health & Safety programs and processes
  • Participate in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non-conformances
  • Provide Health and Safety expertise for the plant for all new projects and change management activities
  • Follow up on non-conformances and develops the systems to resolve them based on root cause analysis
  • Maintain an up-to-date incident reporting system, assist with investigating incidents in conjunction with the HSE Pillar team/safety committee and drive the completion of corrective actions to eliminate root causes/reoccurrence
  • Develop technical guidance programs to identify and remove physical hazards

You will bring experience and knowledge in:

  • Experience in Environmental Health and Safety Must have completed Environmental Health and Safety training in areas such as OSHA, EPA, DNREC
  • Experience in safety, and/or environmental technical standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels
  • Understanding and knowledge of regulatory reports and compliances including experience with ISO

What you need to know about this position:

Health, Safety & Environment Expertise
  • 5+ years of experience as a Health, Safety & Environment practitioner within food manufacturing, or large-scale warehouse/logistics operations.
  • Solid knowledge of occupational health programs (ergonomics) and environmental management (waste)
  • Proven ability to manage critical risks in complex environments
Leadership & Team Management
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing HS&E teams (support team and technicians,) across multiple areas including external operations.
  • Ability to influence, coach, and build safety culture among operational leaders, coordinators and frontline teams without direct authority.
Change Management & Project Management
  • Proven experience leading HS&E improvement projects from concept to execution (infrastructure upgrades, engineering controls, technology implementation).
  • Ability to manage scope, timeline, budget, and stakeholders while ensuring safety-by-design principles.
  • Demonstrated change management skills to drive transformation in safety behaviors, systems, and governance standards.
Decision-Making & Autonomy
  • Proven ability to make autonomous, data-driven decisions to protect people and warehouses operations process.
  • Confidence to stop work, escalation critical situations, and enforce Safety Principles and Life Saving Rules regardless of operational impact.
  • Strategic mindset to balance safety requirements with business objectives.
Mondelez International Internal Communication & Stakeholder Management
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels—from warehouse floor operators to site leadership and corporate teams.
  • Ability to present HS&E performance, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work across functions (Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, HR) and with external contractors and regulatory bodies.
  • Bilingual communication to interact with global and regional teams.
