TRUMPF México, a leading high‑tech company, is seeking a purchasing professional to manage productive and non‑productive material procurement in our Apodaca, NM operation. You will collaborate with Quality, Planning, Engineering, and Production to balance cost, quality, and supplier performance, while evaluating quotations and coordinating bids.

The role requires strong supplier negotiation skills, advanced SAP knowledge, and excellent English.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in supply chain management and supplier negotiation.
• Experience with raw materials and direct procurement preferred.
• Knowledge of production planning, inventory control, and shipping & logistics is a plus.
• Advanced SAP knowledge is required.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Execute the purchasing strategy for productive and non‑productive materials.
• Coordinate communication between Quality, Planning, Engineering, and Production to balance cost, quality, and supplier performance.
• Evaluate quotations, coordinate bidding, and analyze supplier performance for process improvement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Prepare analytical reports and data insights to support strategic decisions.
• Train, supervise, and manage assigned staff.
• Analyze inventory levels and coordinate with Planning to maintain efficient purchasing per SAP procedures.
• Propose cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement strategies.
• Review purchase orders and payment processes, assisting in discrepancy resolutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the purchasing strategy for productive and non‑productive materials.
• Ensure effective communication between the Quality, Planning, Engineering, and Production departments to achieve the best balance of cost, quality, and supplier performance.
• Evaluate quotations, coordinate bidding processes, and analyze supplier performance to continuously improve the purchasing process.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with suppliers.
• Prepare analytical reports and data insights to support strategic decision‑making.
• Train, supervise, and manage the activities of assigned staff.
• Analyze inventory levels and coordinate with the Planning department to maintain an efficient purchasing process based on procedures established in SAP.
• Propose and participate in cost‑reduction initiatives and continuous improvement strategies.
• Review purchase orders and payment processes, assisting in the resolution of discrepancies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience in Supply Chain Management and Supplier Negotiation
• Experience in raw materials and Direct procurement
• Basic knowledge of Production Planning, Inventory Control, and Shipping & Logistics
• Advanced knowledge of SAP
• Advanced English
• Strong communication and relationship management skills with internal departments and external suppliers/customers
