What will you be doing?

As the Head of HR Operations (Americas) & Global Process Management and TA Operations, you will lead operational excellence across the Americas while serving as a global steward for HR process documentation, governance, and continuous improvement. You will ensure seamless service delivery, scalable operations, compliance, and a consistent, best-in-class employee and candidate experience across the lifecycle. This highly visible role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution and partners closely with HR leadership, business leaders, and global stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • People Leadership, Culture, and Engagement
    • Lead and mentor a global and regional team of HR Operations and TA Operations team members (6 direct reports), ensuring execution with excellence on core processes and procedures for team accountability, balanced workload management, and career development.
    • Build capability through coaching; set clear ownership and operating rhythms.
    • Partner with Americas HRBP and TA teams to deliver a seamless employee and candidate experience.
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture, aligned with Circana’s values and behaviors.
    • Develop and maintain communication strategies to engage employees and stakeholders on operational processes and changes.
    • Actively engage with peer leaders across EMEA and APAC to ensure global alignment (complementary and collaborative work).
  • Global Process Management, Optimization, Standards, and Compliance
    • Identify and implement Americas and global HR workflows, processes, and technology enhancements that drive efficiency, scalability, and automation.
    • Partner with the Global HR Operations team to ensure standardized yet adaptable processes and consistent operational practices across regions.
    • Develop and maintain HR Ops templates, SOPs, and country-specific protocols based on best practices and regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure all HR operations comply with local labor laws and maintain accurate, up-to-date employee records through a strong partnership with Legal, Compliance, and local HR.
    • Oversee annual HR compliance filings and audits (internal and external), ensuring documentation accuracy and operational readiness.
    • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders to deliver a high-quality employee experience.
    • Stay current on government regulations and policies, proactively adapting processes as requirements evolve.
    • Lead global process documentation for the Americas and enterprise-wide HR Operations, maintaining governance, version control, and change management standards.
    • Provide indirect support to EMEA and APAC where global process interdependencies exist.
    • Own metrics and reporting for process adherence, building and maintaining performance dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to visualize key trends and outcomes.
    • Champion a continuous improvement mindset, applying operational excellence and process optimization practices to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management and HR Systems & Technology
    • With your team, champion critical operational processes and activities of our employee population (onboarding, offboarding, job changes, workforce transitions, talent mobility, and more) while collaborating with key partners.
    • Partner with the Global HR Technology and Analytics Team to create, document, and lead HRIS/UKG/Eightfold training for end users to support high levels of adoption and data integrity.
    • Support the Global HR Technology team to resolve issues, complete projects, and drive initiatives.
  • Talent Acquisition Operations
    • Oversee global recruiting coordination and candidate operations activities.
    • Ensure processes align with global TA Operations strategy and transition seamlessly into the hiring and onboarding lifecycle.
    • Partner with TA leadership to identify process improvements, efficiencies, and candidate experience enhancements.
    • Build/shift to Talent Acquisition Operations with focus on metrics, SLAs, and performance variables.
  • Immigration Support
    • Lead and standardize how we drive immigration strategy across the AMCS region, partnering with outside legal counsel and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant employment of sponsored individuals.
    • Proactively resolve and/or escalate issues pertaining to employees’ immigration statuses.
    • Drive effective communication with managers and employees on various immigration-related matters.
  • Payroll Partnerships
    • Provide leadership and oversight to locations where HR supports or drives payroll activities as needed.
    • Audit management, including documenting payroll processes, four-eyes principle, and other critical success measures.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 7+ years in HR Operations, HR Business Partnering, Global HR, or similar roles within organizations with 1,000+ employees and multi-country scope.
  • Expertise: Subject Matter Expert of AMCS regional employment requirements, regulations, and best practices (or know-how in learning and applying), with key focus on the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Brazil.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with HR tech (e.g., UKG, Workday, Eightfold, or similar).
    • Data visualization/metrics: Power BI/Tableau (build/interpret dashboards, scorecards).
    • Project management tools: Monday.com, Asana, Smartsheet (or similar).
    • MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
    • Proven process improvement/continuous improvement track record.
  • Language: Advanced English and Spanish required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s in HR/Business; SHRM-CP/PHR (or higher) a plus.
  • Preferred: Recruiting/TA Ops background; immigration exposure.

Location

This role is based in Mexico. You must sign your offer letter in person at Circana’s Mexico City office on your first day. The salary range for this role is up to 1,856,400 MXN annually (gross). This is equivalent to up to 154,700 MXN monthly (gross). We offer a comprehensive package of benefits to eligible employees in Mexico. This job is also eligible for bonus pay. An offer of employment may be conditional upon successful completion of a background check in accordance with local legislation and our candidate privacy notice.
