Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo, Mexico, is seeking an Assistant Department Leader for the bar/beverage program. You will lead development, execution and ongoing improvement of the cocktail and bar program to match the resort’s luxury standards and sense of place.

The role requires 5+ years in fine bars, mixology awards, wine education, and strong leadership to manage scheduling, training and guest satisfaction in a remote location.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years experience in fine bars.
• Awards in mixology competitions such as World Class or similar.
• Wine & Spirits education.
• Ability to manage the wine list and beverage program with consistency.
• Demonstrate adaptability to live in a remote location.
• Excellent English and Spanish (Preferred).
• Oversee all aspects of bar operations including scheduling, training and team motivation.

What you will do

Is responsible for the overall leadership, development, execution, and continuous improvement of the cocktail and bar beverage program at Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo. This role ensures that all bar experiences reflect the resort’s unique sense of place, luxury service standards, and culinary vision while supporting financial objectives, brand identity, and guest satisfaction.

What you bring

• Minimum 5 years experience in fine Bars.
• Awarded in mixology competitions such as World Class or similar
• WIne & Spirits Education
• Ability to manage the wine list and the beverage program with constancy
• Demonstrate adaptability to live in a remote location.
• Excellent English and Spanish (Preferred) language.
• The ability to oversee all aspects of the Bars operations, including scheduling, training and motivating the team.
• The ability to ensure there is consistency of quality and efficiency of beverage service.
• The ability to ensure Four Seasons standard service procedures are followed at all times.
• The ability to work closely with the Restaurant General Manager and Culinary team.
• The ability to ensure that sanitation standards as set forth by Four Seasons and federal regulations are in compliance as well as the cleanliness and organization of the Restaurant.
• The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
• The ability to communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met.
• Flexibility to work on different shifts, weekends and holidays.
• The ability to coordinate personal training to guarantee a high level of product knowledge and productivity.
• As an Assistant Department Leader you will motivate and develop a team, leading by example at all times and instill a culture of continuous learning and improvement among your staff.
• You are actively involved in identifying and assessing the needs of your team and investing in their career development through effective coaching, training and by instilling company our values.
• When dealing with external and internal customers you live by the Golden Rule.
