Allegion is seeking a Hardware Technician to support hardware development and sustaining engineering activities through hands-on lab work, including PCBA testing, product validation, and sample coordination. You will help ensure safety and reliability in our test environments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 1+ year in electronics, and strong schematic reading and debugging skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 1+ years of experience in the electronic industry.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and circuit debugging.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
• English communication skills, both verbal and written (desirable).

Responsabilidades

• Conduct PCBA-level root cause analysis to troubleshoot defects, identify failure mechanisms, and drive resolution.
• Prepare bench-level test setups and perform product validation activities to verify functionality and performance requirements.
• Coordinate the procurement of materials and samples to support engineering development, testing, and validation activities.
• Support the evaluation of existing product issues related to design, including manufacturing defects, quality concerns, and performance-related problems.
• Support and follow up on reliability testing activities for current production products and new product development initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment by ensuring that equipment, workbenches, and materials are properly used, handled, and stored.
• Conduct bench-level testing and validation of firmware updates on PCBAs, identifying and resolving issues prior to production implementation.
• Support product compliance efforts by conducting validations and reporting activities to ensure adherence to BHMA, FCC, and other applicable qualification and regulatory standards.
