Formación

  • 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree or 3 years with an Advanced degree.

Responsabilidades

  • Support for daily tactical customs processes.
  • Bill of material analysis to support the USMCA qualification process.
  • Support Mexicali IMMEX program.

Conocimientos

Understanding of US and MX customs requirements
US duty mitigation programs experience
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office applications
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Educación

Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline
Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline

Herramientas

Overview

Job Summary: This position has responsibility for interpreting and executing global trade policies and processes for the Customs function within the Advanced Structures Strategic Business Unit (SBU) at Collins. You will ensure consistency of customs practices and guidance to operations sites importing across the SBU in North America. You will support customs operations and duty mitigation programs.

Responsibilities
  • Support for daily tactical customs processes
  • Bill of material analysis to support the US – Mexico – Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA) qualification process
  • Analysis on Section 232 applicability for Collins make parts
  • Support Mexicali IMMEX program
  • Assist Customs Manager and Customs team on projects, tactical activities, strategic activities, training, and other customs activities as needed
Qualifications you must have
  • Experience with and understanding of US and MX customs requirements
  • Experience with US duty mitigation programs, including the US – Mexico – Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA)
  • Experience with the IMMEX program and Annex 24 IMMEX software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office applications, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Qualifications we prefer
  • Experience with SAP/GTS or other ERP application
