Job summary

UL Solutions seeks a Sustainability Consultant Associate to manage documentation steps, perform technical writing, and support service delivery. You will engage with global customers and teams while evaluating standards in our Carbon Practice, including LCA, PCR, EPDs, and PCF, and assist with proposals and client communications.

The role emphasizes independent work, language skills in English and Spanish, and strong Microsoft Office usage, with opportunities to grow within UL's safety science

Qualifications

• University degree in a sustainability-related field.
• 1 year of work experience required.
• Formal certifications such as LCA/LEED AP desirable.
• Excellent speaking and writing in English and Spanish.
• Interest in sustainabile product services and certifications.
• Able to attend meetings locally and join customer calls.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint; basic AI use in communications.

Responsibilities

• Works independently requiring only moderate guidance from senior colleagues to deliver results.
• Supports the preparation of analysis and client facing materials for both internal/UL teams and external client teams.
• Supports the communication of information to clients, peers, managers and other stakeholders.
• Supports business development efforts by aiding the definition of Statements of Work (SOWs) and development of budgetary estimates for client proposals.
• Supports client engagements by interacting regularly with clients in project meetings. Addresses client concerns and to resolve client issues.
• May represent UL in technical and industry events including publication of articles, presentation of findings, and dissemination of knowledge to the technical community, with the help and support of more senior colleagues within the wider organization.
• Actively continues to expand on his/her knowledge of relevant UL processes, services, customers, etc.
• Integrates continuous improvement and safety culture in all aspects of the job.
• Reads and follows the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
• Performs other duties as directed.
