Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker Inc. in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, is seeking a Quality Supplier Engineer to manage issues with supplied components, drive containment, disposition, and corrective actions.

You will coordinate engineering changes, monitor supplier KPIs, lead 8D problem-solving, and support ISO 9001/ISO 14001/ISO 45001 initiatives while promoting 5S and security compliance. Ideal candidates have advanced English, travel willingness, and experience in automotive/medical/aerospace supplier

Qualifications

• Advanced English proficiency to communicate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge and practical application of the 8D problem-solving methodology.
• Qualification as an internal auditor or lead auditor in ISO 9001:2015 preferred.
• Availability to travel for supplier visits and quality audits.
• Experience in supplier quality, with a background in the automotive, medical, or aerospace industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality issues related to supplied components, coordinating containment, material disposition, corrective actions, RMA, and MQC activities.
• Coordinate engineering changes with suppliers and ensure completion of the required SPPAP approvals.
• Monitor internal supplier quality KPIs, analyze PPM performance, maintain ABC supplier ratings, and drive improvements in supplier product quality.
• Follow up on supplier corrective actions using the 8D methodology, lead supplier meetings, provide training, and conduct supplier visits and quality audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supplier design issues, define corrective actions, and coordinate material disposition.
