Job summary

AbbVie in Mexico is seeking a senior SMAO Line Manager II to lead a regional team of 15-17 Study Management Associates, guiding study execution across global portfolios and ensuring compliance with ICH and GCP.

You will mentor direct reports, develop individual growth plans, manage capacity and demand, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive timely results while upholding AbbVie's standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required, field in health care or science preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of clinical research experience, 6+ years in study operations management.
• At least 3 years of direct people management experience.
• Strong ability to influence, communicate persuasively, and build cross-functional relationships.
• Experience in drug development/clinical operations and ICH/GCP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead a regional team of 15-17 SMAs to ensure best-in-class study execution.
• Provide mentorship and development plans to direct reports to grow into leadership roles.
• Oversee resource management and workforce planning across portfolios.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and worldwide regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive execution strategies.
