Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions, is seeking a Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) to support a government contract on Diego Garcia.

The SSHO will prepare and enforce the Contractor's Safety program, ensure EM 385-1-1 and 29 CFR 1926.16 compliance, and lead a safety oversight team with at least one competent SSHO at each site. Strong CSP, OSHA 30-hour, and Mishap Investigation experience are highly valued.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline preferred; two (2) years of experience in related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
• Five years of satisfactory experience in preparing and enforcing safety programs on contracts of similar size and complexity in the past or three years' experience if candidate possesses a CSP or safety and health degree.
• Shall be as required by EM 385-1-1 paragraph 01.A.17, SITE SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER (SSHO).
• Completed the OSHA 30-hour construction safety class or equivalent within the last 5 years and an average of at least 24 hours of safety training per year for the past 5 years.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) – highly preferred.
• Trained to conduct Mishap Investigations per OPNAV 5100.23 series.
• Maintain competency IAW EM385-1-1 requirements.
• Experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multinational workforce.
• Must be familiar with current global, US, Program and PWS requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a passport and driver's license throughout employment.
• Ability to pass PACOM medical requirements and maintain requirements for deployment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and enforce the Contractor's Safety program and USG accepted Accident Program on the contract.
• Provide a Safety oversight team with a minimum of one competent person at each project site to function as the SSHO.
• Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 and 29 CFR 1926.16 for the project.
• Monitor, maintain records, report, train, inspect, and report data as required; perform other duties as assigned.
