Job summary

Intuitive Surgical in Mexicali seeks a Trade Compliance and Operations Analyst to oversee international movements from the US to global destinations, ensuring HTS classifications, permits, and regulatory readiness.

You will coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customs brokers, manage SAF requests, provide status updates, and maintain audit-ready records to support on-time shipments. Travel <10%.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in U.S.-Mexico cross-border operations.
• Customs compliance and import/export operations experience.
• IMMEX program administration experience.
• Experience preparing customs documentation and supporting customs audits.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel (Macros) and ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end international movements from the United States to worldwide destinations.
• Serve as the primary contact for outbound movements and lead cross-functional escalation calls.
• Manage active SAF requests, monitor shipment milestones, and own the SAF Helpline Zoom Channel.
• Provide shipment status updates to engineers and project teams, track issues, and ensure timely resolution.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers for clearance and documentation.
• Prepare, review, and validate export filings, permits, licenses, certificates, and country-specific declarations.
• Ensure compliance with export/import regulations and maintain audit-ready records.
