The role requires a university degree, 3+ years in strategic procurement, and fluency in German and English. Hybrid work with four in-office days weekly is offered, along with training and a diverse, inclusive environment.

• Minimum 3 years in a strategic procurement role, ideally in metal profiles, tubes, or raw materials.
• Proven experience managing global tenders and negotiations in an international environment.
• Experience in stakeholder management and working with international teams.
• Strong communication skills with excellent networking abilities.
• Very good German and English skills.
• Strong negotiation skills with analytical thinking and a structured approach.

Responsabilidades

• Lead global category management for Metal Profiles and Tubes, focusing on aluminium extrusion.
• Define, implement, and monitor category objectives and KPIs aligned with global strategies.
• Develop and implement global sourcing strategies with regional collaboration.
• Manage contracts, supplier relationships, and global requirements compliance.
• Consolidate global requirements and align with regional needs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers and external partners.
• Lead tenders and sourcing projects, including negotiations and RFx processes.
• Provide market insights and supplier data to support procurement strategies.
• Ensure standardization, harmonization, and transparency across activities.
• Lead global procurement and performance optimization projects.

Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking a Global Category Manager – Metal Profiles and Tubes based in Nogales. This role will report directly to the Deputy Vice President Category Management Direct and work closely with stakeholder management and working with international teams.

What you will do

• Global Category Management:Drive innovative, market-oriented procurement strategies and ensure the availability of goods and services. Take ownership of Metal Profiles and Tubes category, with a focus on aluminium extrusion.
• Global Category Objectives:Define, implement, and monitor category objectives and KPIs in alignment with global strategies.
• Procurement Strategies:Develop and implement global sourcing strategies, including continuous market analysis and close collaboration with Regional Category Managers.
• Contract & Supplier Management:Manage contracts, develop supplier relationships, and ensure the implementation of global requirements.
• Demand Consolidation:Consolidate global requirements and ensure effective alignment between global strategies and regional needs.
• Stakeholder & Interface Management:Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners.
• Strategic Sourcing & RFx:Lead tenders and sourcing projects, including negotiations, while ensuring compliance and identifying efficiency opportunities.
• Market & Data Analysis:Provide market insights, trends, and supplier data to support global procurement strategies.
• Standardization:Ensure global processes, harmonization, and transparency across procurement activities.
• Global Project Leadership:Lead global procurement and performance optimization projects.
