JOB PURPOSE

PHINIA is currently seeking a dynamic solution-oriented individual to join our team as a GL & Accounting Analyst at our Manufacturing Plant in Chihuahua, Mexico.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and variance analyses.
  • Prepare monthly accruals for warranty claims, freight costs and other operating expenses based on historical data and forecasted activity.
  • Collaborate with global corporate operations and engineering teams for intercompany allocations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and relevant regulations (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP or local standards).
  • Participate in internal and external audits providing documentation and explanations as needed.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Continuously improve processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • 2 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, preferably with exposure to the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and fixed asset accounting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
