Inspired Schools, Monterrey, México, busca un/a Profesor/a de Alemán para la sede AIM Huasteca, para impartir alemán a estudiantes de Preschool a Grade 9 dentro de un programa educativo bilingüe y de alta calidad. El/la docente desarrollará habilidades orales, auditivas, de lectura y escritura, y fomentará la participación y el interés por el idioma.

Formación

• Dominio del alemán hablado y escrito a nivel avanzado.
• Experiencia en planificación y entrega de lecciones de alemán.
• Capacidad para enseñar a estudiantes de distintas edades en un entorno bilingüe.

Responsabilidades

• Planificar y entregar lecciones de alemán alineadas con el currículo.
• Desarrollar speaking, listening, reading y writing acorde al nivel del alumnado.
• Mantener ambiente de aula inclusivo y motivador.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The American Institute of Monterrey (AIM) is a leading private international school in Mexico, offering a high-quality bilingual education to students aged 2 to 18 across three campuses. At AIM we serve students from Preschool to Grade 9, delivering a U.S.-accredited curriculum alongside programmes in academics, arts, sports, and technology within a modern, well-equipped environment. AIM Huasteca is seeking an enthusiastic German Teacher to deliver engaging, high-quality language instruction. The successful candidate will help students develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and deliver engaging German lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
• Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading and writing skills according to their age and proficiency level.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies, resources and technology to support different learning needs.
• Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive and timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments and academic progress.
• Adapt lessons and provide additional support or challenge when required.
• Promote student participation, confidence and enthusiasm for learning German.
• Communicate effectively with parents and school leaders regarding student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings, training, school events and wider school activities.
• Follow the school’s safeguarding, health and safety, and professional conduct policies.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A genuine passion for education, with the ability to engage, motivate, and positively impact young people.
• A proven track record of excellence in personal, academic, and professional achievements.
• In-depth expertise in and passion for their subject and the ability to inspire students and support outstanding progress.
• Expertise in assessing student progress, providing targeted feedback, and enhancing student performance, including in external assessments.
• Experience in providing pastoral care and promoting student wellbeing, with a strong focus on individual attention and high standards of welfare.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both collaboratively with colleagues and independently and a track record of establishing strong, positive relationships with families.
• A commitment to their own continuous professional development.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to plan and prioritise a varied workload, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
• PGCE, QTS, or equivalent, with excellent academic credentials and, ideally, evidence of post-graduate study.
• Energy, enthusiasm, and a positive, flexible, and resourceful approach to working in a dynamic school environment.

SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT:

• A bachelor’s degree in Education, German, Modern Languages or a related field.
• A teaching qualification or relevant teacher training.
• Fluency or advanced proficiency in German.
• Previous experience teaching German to children or teenagers.
• Strong classroom management and lesson-planning skills.
• The ability to create engaging, student-centred learning experiences.
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• A collaborative, flexible and proactive approach.
• Experience working in an international or bilingual school environment is desirable.
