Una importante empresa en Tijuana busca un Gerente de Mantenimiento para supervisar el personal técnico y garantizar la correcta ejecución del mantenimiento de equipos. El rol implica establecer prioridades, gestionar gastos, evaluar el desempeño y asegurar el cumplimiento de los estándares de la industria, especialmente en el sector médico. Se requiere experiencia en mantenimiento y habilidades de liderazgo.
Maintenance of equipment in a correct and timely manner by technicians, based on priorities. Ensure technical personnel are thoroughly trained in their responsibilities and follow approved troubleshooting and repair guidelines.
Set clear goals and priorities for the Maintenance staff.
Effectively manage departmental expenses according to the forecast.
Evaluate and manage performance using metrics and site KPIs.
Direct activities that support the achievement of the campus strategic goals.
Regularly report activity results to management.
Maintain tool crib appearance, organization, and execute established systems for spares management. Oversee administrative management of technicians' reporting to the supervisor.
Ensure on-time performance evaluations, approve hours for pay, manage and control overtime, and align departmental and personnel goals with site KPIs. Reduce equipment downtime and change-over time.
Execute equipment preventive maintenance correctly with all requisite documentation completed.
Identify and correct gaps in current equipment maintenance practices with input from managers.
Maintain expenses to meet forecasts and cost reduction goals. Control inventory of spare parts through clear organization of the tool crib, established min/max stocking levels, reorder trigger points, and tracking of orders. Prevent stock outs of inventory.
Control costs through efficient use of materials and spares.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
Work experience of 3 to 7 years in progressive maintenance roles.
Experience including supervisory roles within a manufacturing environment.
Medical industry knowledge and experience.
Experience in clean room and facility maintenance.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective interpersonal skills.
Proactive problem-solving skills, including techniques to identify and resolve root causes.
Proven leadership skills, including effective time management and multitasking abilities.
Must be a team player willing to perform tasks outside of daily operations, with the ability and desire to accept challenges, respond proactively, adapt to change, and meet deadlines.
