Placements24 is seeking a results-driven Gerente de Contabilidad to lead the accounting department for a fully remote role based out of Torreón, Coahuila. You will direct all accounting functions, ensure compliance with Mexican standards (NIFs) and tax laws, and partner with senior leadership to support strategic growth.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in accounting/financial management, 3–5 in management, and a strong background in ERP systems and Excel, with Spanish fluency being mandatory

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/financial management experience, with 3–5 years in a management role.
• Extensive knowledge of Mexican accounting principles (NIFs) and tax laws.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Proven leadership capabilities and experience managing accounting teams.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage remote teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage the entire accounting department, including team development and performance management.
• Develop and implement strategic financial plans and budgets.
• Oversee all financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with NIFs and other standards.
• Manage treasury, cash flow, and banking relationships.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations (ISR, IVA) and timely filing of returns.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and data integrity.
• Partner with senior management to provide financial insights and support strategic decisions.
• Oversee financial aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and significant transactions.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting function.
