Qualifikationen

• Experiencia mínima de 7 años en procurement con foco en materias primas o sourcing de commodities.

• Desarrollar e implementar estrategias de aprovisionamiento para materias primas a nivel global.
• Identificar y evaluar nuevos proveedores internacionales y realizar due diligence.
• Negociar contratos y acuerdos de servicio de alto valor con proveedores de materias primas.

• Monitorear mercados de commodities, analizar tendencias de precios y diseñar coberturas cuando aplique.

Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Gerente de Compras de Materias Primas to lead their global sourcing efforts. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies for sourcing raw materials, managing supplier relationships, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring a stable and cost-effective supply chain. Responsabilidades Clave

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for key raw materials, focusing on cost optimization, quality, and supply chain security.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new global suppliers, conducting rigorous due diligence and risk assessments.
• Negotiate long-term contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements with raw material suppliers.
• Manage and cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring consistent performance and alignment with company values.
• Monitor global commodity markets, analyze price trends, and develop hedging strategies as necessary.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and finance teams to forecast material requirements and ensure timely procurement.
• Oversee the procurement process from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and ethical standards.
• Mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical instability, natural disasters, and supplier financial health.
• Prepare detailed reports on market intelligence, supplier performance, cost savings, and risk assessments for senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the raw materials procurement function.

Requisitos

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement, with a significant focus on raw materials or commodity sourcing.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing global sourcing strategies.
• Proven experience in negotiating complex, high-value contracts with international suppliers.
• In-depth knowledge of global commodity markets, pricing dynamics, and risk management strategies.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced data analysis tools.
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage effectively in a remote environment, demonstrating strong self-discipline and organizational skills.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
