Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced GeneralProduction Supervisor to contribute to our continued success. This pivotal role will oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards, while fostering a productive and collaborative work environment on our Tijuana production floor. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership acumen, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of manufacturing personnel.
- Motivate and encourage team members to achieve high performance levels and production targets.
- Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns promptly and effectively.
- Enforce all safety regulations and procedures within the production facility.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the production line, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, work orders, and other technical documents related to the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control to resolve technical issues and implement process improvements.
- Inspect work in progress and completed modules to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and building codes.
- Participate in production meetings and provide input on process optimization, resource allocation, and other relevant topics.
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency.
- Work with engineering and other departments to implement process improvements.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing or construction environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Experience in modular construction is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, work orders, and other technical documents.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies is desirable.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
