NextGen Ventures in Monterrey seeks a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain the core platform powering sportsbook and casino experiences end to end. You will work across backend systems and user-facing applications, translating product concepts into scalable APIs and robust data flows.

This hands-on senior role requires fast delivery, clear communication, mentoring others, and a holistic view of product, reliability, and maintainability.

Formación

• Experience designing, building, and scaling high-performance backend systems in Python or similar.
• Strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling.
• Experience owning full lifecycle of a feature in production.
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure automation.

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the core platform powering our sportsbook and casino experiences end to end - working across backend systems and user-facing applications, and translating product and design concepts into scalable APIs, robust data flows, and polished interfaces used by thousands of players.

This is a hands-on senior role for engineers who move quickly, communicate clearly, mentor others, and think holistically about product, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement end-to-end features across backend and frontend, from data models and APIs in Python to responsive interfaces in React and TypeScript
• Build scalable, resilient APIs and backend components supporting web, mobile, and third-party integrations, with a focus on performance, observability, and reliability
• Develop and maintain user-facing features in React and Next.js, optimizing for responsiveness, performance, and cross-device compatibility
• Collaborate closely with product, design, security, compliance, and data teams to translate requirements into technical solutions that balance speed, quality, and regulatory needs
• Contribute to and evolve our component library and design system, ensuring consistency across the platform and accelerating development for the broader engineering team
• Develop and maintain data pipelines powering analytics, fraud detection, geolocation, and regulatory reporting
• Champion performance, security, and compliance (AML, KYC, data privacy) across the stack, proactively identifying and mitigating risks
• Participate in incident response, monitoring, and root-cause analysis to help maintain system stability and player experience
• Mentor and support other engineers - sharing best practices, reviewing code, and raising the team's technical bar
• Influence product direction by thinking from first principles about user experience, business impact, edge cases, and engineering tradeoffs

What You'll Bring - Must-Haves

• Proven experience designing, building, and scaling high-performance backend systems in Python or a similar language, including APIs, services, and data processing pipelines
• Strong proficiency with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling (Next.js, TanStack or similar)
• Experience owning the full lifecycle of a feature - from discovery and technical design through implementation, rollout, and iterative improvement in production
• Experience with CI/CD practices and infrastructure automation, with a solid understanding of how code ships and runs in production
• Demonstrated ability to mentor developers, contribute to architectural decisions, and drive technical discussions with a clear, pragmatic perspective
• Excellent communication skills - able to explain tradeoffs, ask clarifying questions, and collaborate across engineering, product, and design

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with data pipeline architecture, analytics, and geolocation-based access controls (or strong willingness to learn quickly)
• Understanding of security and compliance requirements (AML, KYC, data privacy) and how they shape system design
• Prior experience in sportsbook, gaming, fintech, or another regulated consumer industry
