Bluelight is a growing software consultancy seeking a seasoned backend-focused developer. You will build low-latency AWS-backed APIs, implement multi-tenant architectures, and collaborate across full-stack tasks with Node.js, TypeScript, React, and modern tooling.

The role emphasizes strong testing, SQL/schema migrations, and integration with external services. You will work with cross-border clients, align with US business hours, and own deliverables with accountability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (node-postgres, node-pg-migrate).
• Professional experience with React.
• Strong testing practices including integration tests against real databases and fault-injection testing.
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development.
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills.
• Solid understanding of full stack development with ability to contribute to frontend work when needed.
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused)
