A leading automotive manufacturer in Mexico is seeking an FDM Fuel Filter specialist responsible for design, development, and quality planning in fuel systems. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering and over 5 years of automotive engineering experience. Proficiency in English and strong problem-solving skills are essential. The position may require up to 20% travel, both domestically and internationally.

Formación

  • Proficiency in English (write, listen, and speak).
  • Knowledge of FDM, UDM virtual simulations.

Overview

The FDM Fuel Filter specialist will be responsible for the design, development, advance product & quality planning (APQP), and production release of a system/component within Fuels Systems, Fuel delivery modules and Fuel Filters. The Engineer will interact with suppliers and will work closely with internal and external groups such as, propulsion systems, engine calibration, vehicle program team, testing & prototype labs, CAE engineers, supplier operations and manufacturing plants. The other responsibilities will include developing and maintaining technical documentation and standards, collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, provide technical training and support to colleagues, and promoting quality improvements including communicating technical product status to management.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering or related degree field
  • 5 or more years of design/development automotive engineering experience in Fuel Systems and Diesel/Urea System
  • Proficiency in English (write, listen, and speak)
  • Self-starter with strong leadership, communication & organizational skills and demonstrated problem solving ability
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master\'s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Extensive automotive product engineering experience
  • Fuel Delivery Module design experience with electrical and hydraulic circuit designs knowledge
  • Experience with Urea System dosing strategy including emissions diagnosis strategy; Experience with gasoline and diesel fuel filters development
  • Knowledge of FDM, UDM virtual simulations
  • Experience with CAN software and engine systems software (CDA, Wi-Tech, INCA)
  • Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
  • Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R)
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and Reactive Methodology, preferred Belt certification
  • General understanding of NX, Teamcenter, PLM
  • Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
  • Driving and Travel Requirements for NA applicants: Will be required to drive a company car; A valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record
