3Pillar Global, Inc. is seeking a Remote Front-End / StencilJS Software Engineer to help modernize a security-critical front-end estate across several micro-frontend apps.

You will convert Angular/AngularJS projects to StencilJS and work inside a fast, AI-assisted delivery environment. The role is hands-on, early in career, with guidance from a Tech Lead and Senior AI Engineer, and requires strong REST API, CI/CD, and Kubernetes knowledge, plus solid English communication.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise with at least 3+ years of experience in one specified technology.
StencilJS or a component-based front-end framework.
Angular / AngularJS
Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployment on Kubernetes (AKS).
Basic front-end security hygiene — dependency awareness, avoiding injection vulnerabilities, and interpreting dependency-scanning output (e.g., Dependabot).
Beginner to intermediate level design proficiency following UML / C4 / ArchiMate.
Experience in engineering software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
Proficiency in SQL and English language.

Responsibilities

Convert Angular and AngularJS applications to the StencilJS web-component model from pod-produced specifications, one application per build cycle.
Author StencilJS unit tests, targeting ≥ 75% coverage per application.
Integrate front-end apps with client-backend APIs using mocks and strangler-fig cutover, flagging discrepancies early.
Deliver each build-ready and test-ready in the client’s test environment, meeting code-quality and vulnerability-scan requirements (no Critical or High findings).
Provide accurate status tracking, reporting, and estimation using project methods and tools.
Gather requirements, validate understanding, and create and maintain relevant documentation.

Job Description

Front-End / StencilJS Software Engineer

3Pillar Global is modernizing a complex, security-critical front-end estate — six micro-frontend applications on Azure Kubernetes Service — for a major institutional client. The work converts five Angular and AngularJS applications to StencilJS and hardens a sixth, eliminating approximately 160–170 known vulnerabilities and replacing end-of-life frameworks with a modern, supportable web-component model.

This is a hands-on engineering role built for someone early in their career who is ready to grow fast in a structured, AI-assisted delivery environment. You will work inside a small, high-velocity build pod — alongside a Tech Lead and a Senior AI Engineer — delivering real production code against real client constraints. The work is guided by a spec-driven methodology and supported by AI agentic tooling, which means you spend less time on boilerplate and more time learning how quality software is built and reviewed.

Key Responsibilities

Convert Angular and AngularJS applications to the StencilJS web-component model from pod-produced specifications, one application per build cycle.

Author StencilJS unit tests, treating test coverage as a first-class deliverable (target ≥ 75% per application).

Integrate applications against client-owned back-end APIs using mocks and a strangler-fig cutover, flagging integration discrepancies against the spec early and keeping front-end delivery independent of back-end change.

Deliver each application build-ready and test-ready in the client’s test environment, meeting code-quality and vulnerability-scan requirements (no Critical or High findings).

Provide accurate status tracking, reporting, and estimation using project methods and tools.

Execute activities within the current methodology and uphold the highest quality standards.

Foster collaboration with fellow engineers, designers, and managers to comprehend user pain points and iterate on solutions that drive client success.

Minimum Qualifications:

Demonstrated expertise with at least 3+ years of experience in one specified technology.

StencilJS (or a component-based front-end framework)

Angular / AngularJS

Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployment on Kubernetes (AKS).

Additional Experience Desired:

Daily use of AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) as a working habit, with the discipline of critically reviewing AI-generated output before committing.

Knowledge of source control tools.

Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (inheritance, polymorphism, classes, instances, properties).

Knowledge of protocols like HTTP, and serialization formats like JSON and XML.

Knowledge of document databases.

Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency
