3Pillar Global is modernizing a security-critical front-end estate, migrating six apps to StencilJS on Azure Kubernetes Service. This hands-on role suits someone early in their career who wants rapid growth in a structured, AI-assisted delivery environment.

You will work in a small pod with a Tech Lead and Senior AI Engineer, delivering production code under real client constraints, with a spec-driven approach and AI tooling to reduce boilerplate.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with front-end technologies including StencilJS or a component-based framework.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and web-component development.
• Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployment on Kubernetes (AKS).
• Basic front-end security hygiene and dependency-scanning awareness.
• Understanding of UML/C4/ArchiMate design and SDLC principles.
• Experience with medium-to-large scale software systems.
• Proficient in English both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Convert Angular and AngularJS apps to StencilJS web components per build cycle.
• Write StencilJS unit tests with target ≥75% coverage per app.
• Integrate front-ends with backend REST APIs using mocks and strangler pattern.
• Ensure build-ready and test-ready delivery in client test environments with no Critical/High findings.
• Provide accurate status, estimates, and progress using project tools.

Front-End / StencilJS Software Engineer

Greetings, future tech expert:

3Pillar Global is modernizing a complex, security-critical front-end estate — six micro-frontend applications on Azure Kubernetes Service — for a major institutional client. The work converts five Angular and AngularJS applications to StencilJS and hardens a sixth, eliminating approximately 160–170 known vulnerabilities and replacing end-of-life frameworks with a modern, supportable web-component model.

This is a hands-on engineering role built for someone early in their career who is ready to grow fast in a structured, AI-assisted delivery environment. You will work inside a small, high-velocity build pod — alongside a Tech Lead and a Senior AI Engineer — delivering real production code against real client constraints. The work is guided by a spec-driven methodology and supported by AI agentic tooling, which means you spend less time on boilerplate and more time learning how quality software is built and reviewed.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert Angular and AngularJS applications to the StencilJS web-component model from pod-produced specifications, one application per build cycle.
• Author StencilJS unit tests, treating test coverage as a first-class deliverable (target ≥ 75% per application).
• Integrate applications against client-owned back-end APIs using mocks and a strangler-fig cutover, flagging integration discrepancies against the spec early and keeping front-end delivery independent of back-end change.
• Deliver each application build-ready and test-ready in the client’s test environment, meeting code-quality and vulnerability-scan requirements (no Critical or High findings).
• Provide accurate status tracking, reporting, and estimation using project methods and tools.
• Gather requirements, validate their understanding amongst the team, and create and maintain relevant documentation.
• Execute activities within the current methodology and uphold the highest quality standards.
• Foster collaboration with fellow engineers, designers, and managers to comprehend user pain points and iterate on solutions that drive client success.

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise with at least 3+ years of experience in one specified technology.
  • StencilJS (or a component-based front-end framework)
  • Angular / AngularJS
• Proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript and modern web-component development.
• Experience integrating front-end applications with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployment on Kubernetes (AKS).
• Basic front-end security hygiene — dependency awareness, avoiding injection vulnerabilities, and interpreting dependency-scanning output (e.g., Dependabot).
• Beginner to intermediate level design proficiency following UML / C4 / ArchiMate.
• Experience in engineering software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Proficiency with relational databases and SQL.
• Proficiency in the English language.

Additional Experience Desired

• Experience modernizing legacy applications (e.g., migrating from a monolithic Java stack — Struts, Wicket, Spring Boot — or AngularJS to a modern component model).
• Daily use of AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) as a working habit, with the discipline of critically reviewing AI-generated output before committing.
• Familiarity with browser DevTools and front-end debugging workflows.
• Knowledge of source control tools.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (inheritance, polymorphism, classes, instances, properties).
• Knowledge of protocols like HTTP, and serialization formats like JSON and XML.
• Knowledge of document databases.
• Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency
