McCormick & Company in Mexico City Cuautitlan is seeking a Product Developer to drive snack seasoning development and manage cross-functional projects. You will engage with customers at local, regional, and global levels and utilize global technologies to ensure successful project execution.

The role emphasizes leadership in flavor system development, collaboration across departments, and delivering scalable product designs through production readiness.

Formación

• Bs and/or Master's degree in Food Chemistry, Food Science, Food Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• 5+ years of experience in product development, with snack seasoning experience desirable.
• Knowledge of food industry quality and regulatory standards.
• Knowledge of SAP.

Responsabilidades

Job Description

Contribute to the sales of new products through seasoning and flavor systems development for snacks and other categories (bakery, instant oats/soups, etc.). Responsible for leading internal and customer productivity initiatives related to product design or R&D. Works under supervision of an Innovation Manager.

Responsibilities

• Expertly develops snack seasonings, including duplications, new creations, and modifications across a broad range of flavor profiles to meet customer and internal project requests following global customer guidelines. Creates new and innovative flavor profiles. Recognizes problems, gathers, and interprets significant data to find creative solutions to complex issues. Recognized as a technical leader in his/her area of expertise. Manages scalation of formulas from bench to successful plant production. In depth understanding of processes and operations to ensure successful product scale-up and troubleshooting problems.
• Coordinates, identifies and develop productivity opportunities related to product design or R&D responsibilities
• Provide technical direction and supervise lower-level professional people. Evaluates and prioritizes the work based on urgency and impact.
• Supports Sales & Marketing objectives and directly interacts/visits with target/key customers in support of existing and new business growth opportunities.
• Provide expertise on projects performed in other groups within McCormick, with outside consultants, and/or with vendors. Collaborates with Applications, Analytical, Purchasing, Quality, Regulatory, Planning, Production, Sensory, Marketing, Sales, and other department teams to ensure creations meet benchmarks set by customer and are reproducible in the plant.
• Identifies, investigates, and assesses new ingredients, technologies, materials, and methods that will provide innovative solutions to customer and industry challenges. Work has significant impact on McCormick seasoning technology or capabilities. Transfers knowledge to McCormick

Requirements

• Bs and or Master's degree in Food Chemistry, Food Science, Food Engineer, and/or related área
• Advanced English. (Will be evaluated during the process)
• 5 + of experience in product development. Snack Seasoning creation desirable. Ingredient, processes knowledge.
• Food Industry knowledge, including Quality and Regulatory.
• Knowledge in SAP
