Job summary

Novartis is seeking an experienced Business Information Security Expert (BISE) for FM&A to drive secure information handling across due diligence, post‑close integration and divestiture scenarios. You will act as a trusted security partner intersecting Information Security, Cybersecurity, Technology, Finance and FM&A execution in a fast-paced deal environment.

You will translate complex security issues into business risk, guide pragmatic decision-making, and coordinate security subject matter

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise Information Security and Cybersecurity, including governance, controls and compliance.
• Ability to assess risk across applications, infrastructure, cloud, identity, data, AI tools and third parties.
• Excellent written, verbal and executive communication with strong stakeholder management.
• Ability to rapidly understand unfamiliar technologies and business environments, and distinguish material risk from noise.
• Autonomous, pragmatic, and capable of escalation when specialist input is required.

Responsibilities

• FM&A Information Security Due Diligence: assess targets, understand environments and identify risks impacting transaction and integration.
• Risk Analysis & Decision Support: translate findings into business impact and recommendations.
• Transaction Security Strategy: define priorities, mitigations, and escalation aligned with timelines.
• Day 1 & Integration: determine what must be addressed at closing and what can be remediated post-close.
• Third-Party Risk: identify material risks from suppliers and partners and coordinate assessments.
• Business Partnership: collaborate with FM&A, Information Security, Technology, Finance, Legal, Privacy, Risk and Compliance.
• Security SME Coordination: engage specialists and translate findings into risk context for executives.
• Executive Communication: explain complex security matters clearly and concisely for leadership.
• Continuous Improvement: apply lessons to improve FM&A security methodologies and teams.
