CIMMYT is seeking an Accounting Analyst with a focus on Fixed Assets to manage asset transactions, depreciation, and asset verification. You will work across departments to ensure accurate accounting, strong internal controls, and compliance with Mexican regulations, contributing to audit readiness and process improvements.

The role requires 2–4 years in fixed assets accounting, English proficiency, and experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft D365.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in fixed assets accounting.
• Desirable VAT and tax-related accounting experience.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• ERP systems experience; knowledge of Microsoft D365 desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and record fixed asset transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, work in progress (WIP), capitalization, and depreciation, in accordance with Mexican accounting standards (NIF) and applicable tax rules.
• Maintain and ensure accuracy of the Fixed Assets Register, including classifications, useful lives, reconciliations, and asset tracking.
• Perform and coordinate annual physical inventories of fixed assets and support asset verification and tagging.
• Support asset disposals and auctions, ensuring proper accounting and documentation.
• Execute monthly and year-end closing activities related to fixed assets, including depreciation runs, reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, SAT requirements, and applicable accounting and tax regulations.
• Support VAT-related accounting and fixed asset tax treatment when applicable (desirable).
• Provide support to ERP users and participate in system updates or improvements related to accounting and fixed assets.
• Provide timely support to internal stakeholders regarding fixed asset and accounting matters.
• Support Accounts Payable activities when required, ensuring proper documentation and fiscal compliance (CFDI, tax requirements).
• Participate in improvement initiatives and projects within the Accounting function.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounting Coordinator.
